Lockdown photography on the streets of Exeter
We only have what we give.
During the first lockdown in March 2020, Stephanie Darkes helped to mobilise a team of volunteers to connect those who were in need to the help available to them – an experience which left her feeling very much in awe of her community.
“I felt compelled to creatively document this unprecedented time through words and photography, the result of which is my “doorstep photography project.” I invited people to contribute their lockdown stories.
During this journey, I have laughed, cried, and been humbled in equal measures, and I’ve recognised that for some just getting through this makes them a hero. I am still taking pictures and gathering stories that will be exhibited in April.”
