Exeter Lockdown Photography #6 Faye, Ernesto and family

“If we work together we can always make the greatest change, for the environment, for equality for all, with education, growth and respect and solidarity with Black Lives Matter movement. We can be a plastic free city.”

Lockdown has been tough for Faye and Ernesto who have been juggling their business Zero Exeter on Fore Street with family-life, homeschooling and Ernesto’s full time job

“We’ve been incredibly lucky to be supported by our loyal customers who ordered online and click and collected (we transformed the business overnight and created a website once the kids went to sleep so we could continue our business and serve the community organic and plastic free foods). Without our customers support, our business couldn’t continue to grow – we don’t know if would have survived – we are just incredibly thankful for that.”

The family have been making birthday cakes throughout lockdown and plan to continue to do so when this is all over:

“We have been making birthday cakes although it’s no-ones birthday as the song brings so much happiness to my kids. As my 5 year old says, ‘it’s someone’s birthday somewhere’ 😂.”
