Exeter Lockdown Doorstep Photography #7: Kylie, Hugo and Darcie.
“I was heavily pregnant and alone at the start of lockdown, I stayed in hospital with no visitors and came out having to adjust to two children at home with no help.”
Kylie made the most of the start of lockdown: “I was grateful to be able to spend lots of quality time with my son before the arrival of his baby sister.”
Kylie got some support from neighbours and her local community:
“A member of our community set up a private Facebook group for us to communicate with eachother on. A lady I barely knew went to the shops to buy me some stamps one day and posted them through the letterbox… My neighbour overheard that my WiFi had been disconnected and due to restrictions would not be reconnected for another month. He kindly gave me the details to access theirs.
I repaid them with a thank you card and some chocolates.”
Her takeaway from the experience is that “Anything is possible.”
Kylie is one of my lockdown heroes ❤️
