Tea and Cakes in Teignmouth

You’ve probably noticed that we are fans of Teignmouth, it has a lot to offer as a local seaside town. We have been visiting frequently of late because my Mum might like to live there & it has a brilliant skate park, perfect for the kids to play on with their Christmas presents.

We were there a few weeks ago and I took some shots early in the morning.

Teignmouth is pretty special, I especially love the grandiose Edwardian townhouses that line the front like the Royal cavalry standing to attention.

The palm trees, making me feel like I’m on holiday .. (yes this is Teignmouth)

It’s huge award winning playground..

Lovely sandy beaches and the Victorian Pier

The views over to Shaldon..

We popped into Carole’s Cupcakes, Bakery & Cafe in Teignmouth (as recommended to me on Twitter)

It is like a little curiosity shop.

It has tables for tea that are surrounded by wall-to-wall baking paraphernalia.

There are teapots, bunting, a fine array of cakes and a room out the back for cake training. It’s cosy and welcoming, almost as though Carole is my eccentric Aunt and we are all kicking back in her front room.

They ask you to make a small donation to charity if you want to take a picture of the cakes in the window.

& they sell cupcakes galore..

If you’re in Teignmouth and you fancy something sweet, need some baking gear or you want to book in for some cake decorating lessons, I can recommend Carole’s.
