Our February half term activities in Devon

We had a crazy week for February half term, here’s an overview of what we got up to..

Monday & Tuesday

At the start of the week we were besieged by illness and the weather was a bit pants, so we got our art on:

We painted some canvases that I bought a while ago from The Works super cheaply..

We are moving soon so it was a great opportunity for the children to create their own bespoke works of art for their bedrooms.

We got my old Mr Men recipe book out and made some fairy cakes.

We did a bit of water play..

We painted some stones that we found on the beach.

We made a bit of a mess..

And we had a bit of a jam with some homemade instruments..

Wednesday

By Wednesday we had cabin fever and we set out to Marsh Barton to pick up our car for the week, a Lexus NX, very kindly on loan to us from Snows Exeter and went for a little drive.

In the evening I went to Pipers Farm for an event, more about that here.

Thursday

On Thursday morning I popped into Tubers to hear all about their new YouTube hub (read all about it in April’s Exeter Life).

And then we went on a road trip to Brixham, first stop was a delicious lunch of fresh fish and chips  at Rockfish.

Followed by a drive to Dartmouth to enjoy the view, and a pitstop on the way home to skate in Teignmouth.

Friday

On Friday we got back in the Lexus NX and drove over to Ilfracombe to see Damien Hirst’s Verity on the harbour, who was absolutely stunning! You can read all about our day here.

On the way home we crossed the border into Somerset and hung out at beautiful Tarr Steps.

In the evening we were invited for dinner & after dinner jazz at Circa 1924, I wrote all about our delicious meal here.

We had lots of fun and didn’t spend a fortune!  Cant wait for our next break.

What did you get up to?
